Ways to Connect

Child Dedication, Sunday Nov. 9th: Child Dedication is a way parents and the Grace Fellowship family publicly set apart and consecrate a child to the Lord and a life of worship and service to Him. We will be holding a Child Dedication during both worship services on Sunday, November 9th. For more information contact Lead Pastor Michael Fen (office@gfol.org).If you are interested in dedicating your child, RSVP by  by clicking on the button below or sign up in the fellowship hall.

Interested in Baptism? The next baptism celebration here at Grace is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 16th. According to Scripture, baptism is a critical step of faith and obedience, and a public declaration of allegiance to Jesus Christ as Savior. If you’re interested in getting baptized or learning more about baptism (What? Who? How? and Why?), contact Lead Pastor Michael Fen (office@gfol.org), sign up on the sheet in the Fellowship Hall, or click on the button below.  Deadline for sign up is November 2nd.

Outreach Opportunity  project Angel Tree coming soon: Grace Fellowship partners with Prison Fellowship, a Christ-centered ministry serving currently and formerly incarcerated people and their families. Angel Tree mobilizes local churches like Grace to share the love and message of Jesus with children of incarcerated parents during Christmas. Let’s work together to deliver gifts, the gospel, and the love of Jesus this Christmas. As we gear up for this year’s outreach, we’re looking for 5-10 ministry volunteers to assist with administrative tasks (contacting caregivers, promoting the project and linking sponsors with children, tracking gifts, scheduling and logistics, etc.). If you want to make an impact behind-the-scenes, step up and get involved. For more info or to sign up to serve, contact Worship & Connections Pastor Johnny McCloskey (office@gfol.org).

Pizza Lunch & Hangout:  All College and Young Adults (18-ers through 30-ishers) are invited to join Lead Pastor Michael Fen and his wife, Leah, to hang out for Pizza and a Q&A time November 2nd at 12 noon. The Q&A can be about whatever (life, theology, church ministry, pickleball craze, whatever).  Feel free to invite friends.  Contact Michael at mfen@gfol.org for more information.  RSVP by clicking on the button below.
Outreach Opportunity, Grace Blessing Bags: Help us serve our Lakewood community in the name of Jesus by donating items for Grace Blessing Bags – care packages that can be given away to our homeless and under-resourced neighbors. For the month of October, we will be collecting the following items to fill the bags: beanies, winter gloves, toothpaste, toothbrushes, band-aids, ChapStick, baby powder (travel size), Aquaphor/Vaseline (travel size), “Scrubbzz” rinse-free bath sponges (Amazon), encouraging notes. Quality NEW items only please.

Global Partner Focus
John and Celine Agee serve in Senegal, Africa with EMI (Engineering Ministries International). John and his team are helping SIL (an affiliate of Wycliffe) design their new campus in Senegal. EMI comes alongside the local church and other ministries to help them build hospitals, wells and other facilities that help them do ministry and reach their people for Christ. John and Celine’s two children, Luka and Eliam, are both in school now, and Celine is helping with communications and HR coordination in the office.

Pray for:
  • The team as they work on 4 rural medical facilities in Ghana
  • The project John is leading in Kaffrine for a ministry center
  • Wisdom as EMI Senegal considers projects for the upcoming term.
  • Their support to increase as school and the cost of living are very high in Senegal.
Giving – The Why & How
Financial giving to the work of God through the local church is a form of worship. The Bible teaches followers of Jesus to give regularly, proportionally, generously, joyfully, and sacrificially (2 Cor. 8:1-15; Luke 21:1-4). Your contributions support Christ-centered outreach projects and partnerships locally and around the world; ongoing church ministries, programs, and events; administration and facility-related expenses; and staff compensation. We don’t pass a plate, but if you want to give you can contribute online at www.gfol.orguse the QR code here, text GIVE to 720-513-1722, or use the “Offering” box located inside the worship center doors. Thank you!

Communion / The Lord’s Supper

Here at Grace, we celebrate Communion every Sunday. Also known as the Lord’s Supper, this ceremony was instituted by Jesus Christ to help his followers worship Him and honor the work He has done to save us from our sins and make us right with God. In the biblical book of 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, the Apostle/Missionary Paul said this:

… the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”

The bread symbolizes the body of Jesus given for us. The wine symbolizes the blood of Jesus shed for us. If you have put your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior, Lord, King, and the Forgiver of your sins, and your heart is right toward God and his people (1 Corinthians 11:27-28), you are encouraged to serve yourself at one of the Communion tables during worship. Eat the bread and drink the wine to remember Jesus’ death, give thanks, and declare your faith in Him. If you decide not to participate because you are not a believer in Christ or for some other reason, please know that we respect your choice
