Worship Team
The Worship Team at GFL is made up of musicians and singers dedicated to using their gifts and talents to cultivate a sense of the presence of God in our services. Their passion and desire is to reach up to God and worship Him for who He is and what He has done. Below you can learn more about the people who have the awesome privilege of leading us into passionate worship each Sunday.
Hello, my name is Diane Kamin. I’ve been at GFL since 1985. I moved here from Wisconsin back in 1985 when I was working on my degree as a Music Therapist. It didn’t take long before I was on the worship team and ministering with the musical talent God has so richly blessed me with. I play the flute and guitar, but singing is my real love. I have been a Christian for 29 years and at this point in my life, the Lord is alive and working more than ever. He is my hope and my Strength and my Song. There is no one who even begins to compare to my precious Lord. I am on the worship team primarily to be used of Him as a vessel in bringing our family of believers into the very place of experiencing His presence through praise and worship with the blessed gift of music. I count it a privilege to serve you in this capacity and to be able to be used by Him for His glory. May His Name continue
to be lifted up, praised, and exalted as we come together on
Sunday mornings as a family to sing. To Him be the glory.
My name is Eric Nelson. I have been the Worship Team group leader since 1991. I am not truly certain as to when I became a Christian. But I do know now that God saved me and I’m a child of His. I also play the drums when our good drummers are away. What a joy it is to lead people who
have a passion for what they like to do. Our songs consists of contemporary arrangements with some old familiar hymns blended in. Our goal as Worship Team is to provide a musical conduit for people to worship our lord and God. We play and sing for an audience of one.
Hi, my name is Deb Nelson. I’ve been on the GFL worship team since December, 1991. My contributions include vocals and the acoustic guitar. I have been a Christian for over 40 years, definitely making me one of the "old-timers" on the team.
I was raised in a family where music had been passed down for generations. And, also, in a home where my Mom imparted the blending of a love for music with my love for Christ. I enjoy being on the worship team because music is my passion, and it provides a wonderful avenue for expressing praise and worship.
I consider it an honor to be part of this ministry, and give God all the glory for what He does, in using my gifts, to help usher the congregation of GFL into the Throne Room of our Lord.
I’m Suzanne Stone. I’ve been on the GFL worship team since the beginning of 2007. I play the keyboard and sing occasionally, when needed. I have been a Christian since the summer of 1995. A friend’s family served the Lord by giving me a ride to church services my second year of high school and I am very thankful. I enjoy being on the worship team because I love God and I love music. Playing with the worship team and having a ready made excuse for practicing at home is great. It ministers to me. I just always pray that God can use something I enjoy to also serve others in the congregations on Sunday mornings.
Hi, my name is James Gilmore. I play the drums.
